Modern Slavery Statement

VOLUNTARY MODERN SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT

It is a priority for Container Trades Statistics Limited to ensure that we trade ethically, source responsibly and work to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking throughout our organisation.

At Container Trades Statistics Limited, we are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking in our business.

Organisation’s structure

We are a provider of data services to the shipping industry. We are registered and incorporated in the United Kingdom as a private company limited by shares.

We are not required to make a modern slavery statement. However, we have chosen to make this voluntary statement to show our commitment to ethical trading standards, that we oppose slavery and human trafficking in all its forms and are taking steps to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our business.

Our policies on slavery and human trafficking

We have appropriate policies in place that underpin our commitment to ensure that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in any part of our business. We regularly review and update all our policies.

Our Anti-slavery Policy reflects our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business. We also have a staff handbook that covers code of ethics, behaviours and responsible sourcing, which we regularly review and update:

  • Container Trades Statistics Ltd Staff Handbook

Due diligence processes for slavery and human trafficking

We understand that the following areas give rise to the highest modern slavery risks in our sector: working conditions (wages, benefits and hours) of migrant workers and contracted labour and recruitment.

Training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our business, we provide regular training to our staff.

Further steps

We will keep the steps that we have taken during the year under review to ensure that there is no slavery or human trafficking in our business.

This voluntary modern slavery and human trafficking statement is made in connection with section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 for the financial year ending 2025.
